Aurora CTSI represents technology developed at the University of Minnesota and then “spun off” from the University of Minnesota Venture center as a company focused on helping the brain heal faster from concussions with a wearable, minimally invasive near infra-red therapy. Concussions (also referred to as mild traumatic brain injuries) result in 4.8MM emergency room visits and $19.3 billion in health care costs every year in the U.S. In 2019, the Company obtained the FDA Breakthrough (Fast Track) Device Designation.
